Habitual DWI offender sentenced to life in prison

It took a Llano County Jury less than 20 minutes on Tuesday to find Richard Lee Pollard guilty of Felony Driving While Intoxicated. DWI is a felony offense if the person charged has been previously convicted of DWI two or more times. After hearing evidence of Pollard’s multiple DWI convictions, the jury decided that his punishment should be life in prison. District Judge Dan Mills, who presided over the trial, sentenced the defendant in accordance
with the jury’s verdict
