Bonnie Louise (Spinks) Hamrick, 70, of San Saba, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014, in Temple, Texas. Visitation was held on Friday, January 31, 2014, at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba. Graveside services followed at 2:00p.m., Friday, January 31, 2014, at Terry Cemetery in San Saba County with Brother Sam Crosby officiating. Bonnie was born on November 5, 1943, in San Saba, Texas, to Curry Spinks and Naomi Corinne (Ducy) Spinks. She married Weldon Hamrick on October 7, 1961, in Brownwood, Texas. Bonnie spent her entire lifetime in San Saba. She was a Baptist. Bonnie liked music and enjoyed gardening. She was an excellent seamstress and had sewn most of her children's school clothes. She was a hard worker and worked side by side with her husband for many years. Bonnie raised and loved chickens - to the point of becoming known as "The Chicken Lady." She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Weldon; and her twin brothers, Billy and Bobby. Survivors include: one son, James Hamrick of Hamilton; five daughters, Gayle Hamrick of Goldthwaite, Tina Hamrick of Lampasas, Julie Lehmann of Copperas Cove, Wanda Jeanette Vasquez and husband Sefe of San Saba, Janice Moreno and husband Joe of Goldthwaite; one sister, Carolyn Perry and husband Charles of
Cherokee; one brother, Beverly Spinks and wife Joyce of Abilene; 23 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. Please view Mrs. Hamrick's online memorial at
