Billie Joy Hendricks Wells Standlee, 86, went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2014 at her home in Richland Springs, Texas. She was born in Locker, Texas on August 28, 1927 to her father, Lewis Hendricks and mother,
Alice McNurlen. Billie Joy loved spending time talking and making wonderful memories with her friends and family. Growing up, she enjoyed working beside her father and helped managed their family owned Hendricks Grocery store. After Billie Joy graduated from Richland Springs High School, she went to work for the postal service where she later retired. She was a lifelong resident of San Saba County and a member of the First Baptist Church of Richland Springs, Texas. Billie Joy is survived by one son, Pepper Wells and wife Karen of Waxahachie, Texas; one daughter, Mitzi Supak and David Krause of Carmine, Texas; four grandsons: Scott Wells and wife Melanie of Waxahachie, Texas, Eric Wells and wife Deann of Waxahachie, Texas, Chad Burk and wife Jennifer of Jupiter, Florida, and Shawn Burk of Carmine, Texas; three great-grandsons: Ryan Wells, Jackson Wells, and Zachery Burk; three-great granddaughters: Madison Wells, Allison Wells, and Autumn Wells; one niece, Sherry Dummer of Midland, Texas and one nephew, Joe Shaw of Hutto, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Hendriks and Alice Hendricks and two husbands, Frank Wells and Raymond Standlee. Funeral Services were held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Richland Springs, Texas with Brother Bill
Slaymaker officiating. Interment followed at Locker Cemetery. A visitation was held prior to the service. Arrangements were under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba, Texas
