Rubin ( Dutch) A. Koch, 83, of Irving, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013, in Irving. The funeral service was held  at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2013, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in San Saba,  urial followed at Richland Springs Cemetery. Rubin was born on February 26, 1930, in Harper, Texas, to John and Ella (Behrends) Koch. He served in the Army during the Korean War. In October of 1953, he married his wife,  eggy, in Rubin (Dutch) A. Koch Arizona. They moved with their family to Irving in 1960. He started out as a mechanic at W&B Refrigeration in Dallas and he retired from the same company as vice-president and general  manager. Rubin loved to hunt, fish, go to rodeos, and polka dance during his free time. He was a good husband and Dad and enjoyed many good times with friends and family. Rubin was preceded in death by his parents  nd his brother, Werner Koch. Survivors include: his wife, Peggy Koch of Irving; daughters, Melanie Koch of Irving, Dorinda (Wendy) Koch of Springfield, Oregon, and Sheria Koch of Richland Springs; sister, Vera Oehler and  usband, Harvey, of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews. The minister for the service was Bill Slaymaker. Pallbearers are: Bill Bryant, Dayton Koch, Tommy Smith, Kyle Koch, Kevin Koch, and Larry Wallendorf. Family requests  emorials be made to the Wounded Warriors. Services were under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home San Saba. Visit our online memorial at:
