The Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center is excited to be hosting the 2024 Riata Roundup Rodeo & LTX BBQ Fest Presented by Hoffpauir Auto & Outdoor Group. The event starts Thursday, April 25th, and continues Friday, April 26th, and Saturday, April 27th. The event will take place at the 580 Sports Complex, located at 2351 FM 580 West in Lampasas, Texas. The Diamond Cross Rodeo Company is back to produce the CPRA Professional Rodeo, there is something for the entire family to enjoy.
Thursday night kicks off with slack beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday gates will open at 4:30 p.m. for the Rodeo with Mutton Bustin’ at 6:30 p.m. and the Rodeo events immediately following. There will be plenty of activities to enjoy including Rodeo events, Mutton Bustin’, Queen & Princess Contest, Barrel Racing, Food Trucks/Vendors, Kid’s Activities, and more. The Dynamite Dames will be back for an amazing trick rider performance and stick around after the Rodeo on Saturday night to enjoy a concert by Mario Flores & Soda Creek Band.
On Saturday before the Rodeo, gates open at 9 a.m. for the State Championship LTX BBQ Fest. Events include a BBQ Competition where registered teams will vie for points, bragging rights and awards. For the kid grill masters, make sure they take part in the Kids Que Contest. Sign your team and kids up today to take part in the fun. After the BBQ contest, head down to the Rodeo that evening for more festivities. Prizes will be awarded for all events and categories.
Admission for (Thurs. is $5 all ages), (Fri.) is $15 for adults. Kids 3-12 are $10; (Sat.) is $20, Kids 3-12 are $10; 2 & under are free. Military and first responders with proper identification will get in FREE on Friday. The event is BYOB each night with a cooler charge of $10; no glass containers will be permitted, and lawn chairs are always recommended.
