Last week was Homecoming Week, and we had a lot of fun with spirit days. It was nice to end the week with a successful night in the concession stand and two wins for the Indians.

The junior high Indians improved to 2-0 with a big win over Bluffdale. Jaxon White, Preston and Parker Hanley, along with Uriah Valdez led the offense. Brady Palermo played very well on defense and special teams. Everyone contributed to the 48-6 win.

The varsity team played right after the junior high game winning 56-6 over Bluffdale. Gunner Baugh led the game with nine rushes for 153 yards and 4 touchdowns. Joel Valdez was two for two passing, and two touchdowns. Cayden Houston played well on offense and defense. Brady Johnson caught three balls for 96 yards and two touchdowns, one from Tatum Shanklin for a 44-yard touchdown. Jeremiah Wakefield also had two catches for 45 yards and a touchdown. Congratulations to our Indians!

Over the weekend, nine of the 8th grade Greenhand (first year FFA) students attended the Area 7 Greenhand Leadership camp in San Antonio at the James Madison Magnet School for CTE. They sat in on several leadership activities hosted by the Area 7 FFA officers and one State FFA officer. They met lots of other Greenhand students, as there were almost 400 in attendance, and gained many new friends. The Greenhands are looking forward to many more activities in the year to come.
