Walk Across Texas spring participants

The First Methodist Church of San Saba and friends have three teams (team #1 First Methodist, team #2 More Methodists and team 3 S’mores Methodists) participating in the Texas AgriLife Extension’s Walk Across Texas program this spring. The purpose of the program is to encourage participants to develop the habit of daily exercise. The Kick Off for the program was held Monday, March 4th, at 4:30 p.m. at the LCRA Park. Those present for the Kick Off were: Martha Lee Whitten, Jerry Blankenship, Lynn Blankenship, Scott Snyder, Abby Snyder, Cindy Prater, Trish Warren, Rick Swarts, Pastor Judy Swarts, Carolyn McDowell, Maggie (mascot) and Debbie Millican. Not present were: Laurie Slone, Jacqueline Carlson, Carter Williams, Mike Thomas, Celia Bell, Christi Mays, Cindy Hawkins Courtesy of Carolyn McDowell.
