Dorianne McGregor Land, 70, of Vendor, Arkansas, died Friday, December 16, 2011 at her home. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 21, at the Newton County Baptist Church in Piercetown.The daughter of Taylor Gibbons and Lucy Maxine Doran McGregor was born December 30, 1940, in San Saba, Texas.
Howard Ruddick, age 79, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012. Services are pending with Blaylock Funeral Chapel, San Saba.
San Saba lost a life-long citizen on December 28, 2011 when Pioquinto Hernandez was called home at the age of 85. He was born to Juan and Refugia Hernandez on May 16, 1926. He was a hard worker and sheared sheep for the people of San Saba and surrounding areas for many years.

Bayleigh Elizabeth Ringo, 5, of Salado, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, in a Temple hospital. The service was at 1 p.m. Friday, December 23rd at First Baptist Church in Salado. The graveside service was at Harris Cemetery in San Saba. Arrangements are by Dossman Funeral Home and Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba.Survivors include her parents, Scott and Micki Ringo of Salado; sister, Georganna Grace Ringo of Salado; and grandparents, Thomas and Kathy Ringo and Ed and Micki Prose, all of San Ange ...
Dorthea Ann Rosenthal Burnett, 101, passed away at her home, Monday, December 19, 2011. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 22, 2011 in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with her grandsons, Scott Meyer of Temple, and Brad Burnett of Jacksboro officiating. Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Wanna V. Neal Clary, formerly of San Angelo, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011, in Kingsville, Texas. She was born to Sidney and Viola Neal on November 14, 1928, in San Saba, Texas.Graveside services were held Monday, December 26, 2011, at Locker Community Cemetery, FM 500, San Saba County.Wanna is survived by sister, Jean Pulliam and husband Leon of Ft.

Bill Owen, Jr. passed away at the age of 80 on Monday, December 12, 2011, in Abilene, Texas. Bill was born on November 11, 1931 to William Linn Owen, Sr. and John Zack Millican in San Saba, Texas. Upon graduation from high school, Bill enlisted in the Navy and achieved the rank of Ordnanceman.
Dr. Truman Hulan Yarbrough was born February 14, 1938 in Cherokee, Texas to Faye Cavness and Warren Truman Yarbrough. He died on December 9, 2011 after a lengthy illness. His early years were spent in Lampasas where he graduated from Lampasas High School. He received a B.S. degree from Abilene Christian University and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas in 1964 in Houston.

B.E. Porter, age 89 of Bend, TX, died Tuesday December 6, 2011 at home. B.E. was born November 7, 1922 in Lampasas County, TX; the son of Velmer E. Porter and Nona (Henderson) Porter. He started school at Center and attended Lometa, Nix and Lampasas schools. B.E. joined the Army Air Corps and trained at Sheppard Field, Alliance, NE; Sedalia, MO and Camp McKall, NC.
