Harry B. Campos passed away November 1, 2008 at Eventide Nursing Home in San Saba, Texas after a lingering illness. He was 78. Mr. Campos is survived by his wife, Jean; a son, Richard; a daughter, Donna Waters; sisters, Janie Van Dyke and Mackie Haskins. Five grandchildren, and several great- grandchildren. |

Maxine Davis, 89, of San Saba, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 in San Saba. She was born February 24, 1919 in San Saba County, the daughter of E.C. (Buddy) Smith and Flora Jerkins Smith. On April 23, 1938, Maxine Smith and Joe Davis were married in San Saba, Texas. |

Vivian Dickens Henderson, a native of Lampasas, TX, a recent resident of Mobile, AL., and a long time resident of San Saba,TX., died on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, in Mobile at the home of one of her daughters. She was 90. Mrs. Henderson was born to Arthur Reed Dickens and Vivian Harris Dickens on December 2, 1917. |

Ann (Bourke) Curphey, 64, of San Saba, passed away Monday, October 20, 2008 in Temple, Texas. She was born June 28, 1944 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Raymond Bourke and Florence Rogers Bourke. She is survived by her father Raymond Bourke of San Saba; two sons: Docklan McMeans of San Saba and Raymond Grammer of Fort Worth, TX. |

Candy Romero, 20, of San Saba, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in Temple, Texas. She was born June 11, 1988 in San Saba, Texas the daughter of Juan Romero and Theresa Cooley Romero. Candy attended San Saba ISD, was a four-year member of the FCCLA and a member of the graduating class of 2006. |

Dr. Braswell Locker entered into Glory with his Lord early Saturday morning, October 25, 2008. Born November 16, 1914 to Dr. Harry Loy Locker and Altha Eckert Locker in Winchell, TX, delivered by his father because there were no telephones and his uncle, Dr. S.B. Locker didn't make it in time. |

William (Bill) Paxton Dyer, 76, passed away on Oct. 27, 2008 in San Saba, TX. He was born on a farm in Tahoka, TX, one of eight children to James and Carrie Fern Dyer. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jonnie Hanna Dyer. They were married Nov. 23, 1950 in San Angelo. He attended Pecan Grove Baptist Church, where he and Jonnie led the music for many years.Bill was a retired rancher, owner of Cen Tex Fuel Co.and a devoted husband, father and Paw Paw. Bill had a contagious zest for life and “never met a stranger”. |

Geraldine (Jerri) Ellen Smith, 66, of Ormond Beach, FL passed away August 31, 2008 in Florida. Mrs. Smith was born in Holly Hill, Florida, and moved back into the Ormond Beach area in November 2007 after living 16 years in Virginia. She was a graduate of Mainland High School Class of 1959, a department store manager for Builders Square and a member of Holly Hill Church of Christ. |

Rick E. McBee, 49, of San Saba, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in Teague, TX. He was born June 4, 1959 in Seminole, TX, the son of Barnie McBee and Claudia Phillips McBee. On February 10, 1990, Rick McBee and Rene’ Winter were married in Bedford, Texas. Rick was a sales associate for the Vemeer Equipment Company, a member of the Professional Golf Association, and attended the First Baptist Church in San Saba. He is survived by his wife Rene’ McBee of San Saba; sons, William Jordan McBee and Christopher Braden McBee; and daughter, McKenzie Rene’ McBee all of San Saba. |

Ruth V. (Harkey) Mackie 88 passed away August 31, 2008 in Rockport, Texas. She was born in San Saba, Texas July 20, 1920, to Levi T. Harkey and Ida Simmons Harkey. Services were held September 4, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas. She was buried in San Jose Burial Park. She was preceded in death by husband Frank L. |
