It’s that time of year again! Teachers are already at the school this week preparing for their students. Next Monday, August 7th, is the first day of the 23-24 school year.

This Thursday, August 3rd, there will be an elementary parent meeting at 5:15 p.m. followed by elementary and junior high Meet the Teacher at 5:30 p.m.. At 6 p.m., we will have Meet the Indians in the new gym, and the evening will conclude with a hamburger meal to raise funds for the booster club. We hope all parents and students are able to attend the Back to School Bash!

Parents, as the year begins, keep in mind that a key component to your child’s success in school is your involvement in their education. There are many ways to be involved. Check your student’s work and grades often and go over problem areas with your child. Read notes and social media posts about what is going on at school. Attend parent-teacher conferences, open house, athletic events, and other extracurricular activities. Join the PTC and/or booster club and find out how you can pitch in. This is a small village and we truly need everyone’s help!

Just a reminder, school doors open at 7:25 a.m. Please do not drop your child off before then unless they have scheduled athletic practice. Official school start time is 7:48 a.m. If your student needs breakfast, you need to arrive between 7:25 and 7:40. School dismisses at 4:15 p.m.

We are excited for the new school year and can’t wait to get started!
