Interim Superintendent hired for San Saba ISD

Kevin Shahan (shown on right), President of SSISD School Board, is pleased to announce on behalf of School Board members and SSISD that veteran educator, Buck Gilcrease (shown on left), has been hired as Interim Superintendent of San Saba ISD effective immediately. Mr. Gilcrease will serve as our District’s leader until the appointment of a permanent superintendent at a later date. His professional background and experience in public education will be very useful in this time of transition for our District. In addition, his core values align very closely with those at SSISD, and we are confident he will keep us moving forward in his new role.
