Mrs. Kay Nettleship hosted the Pierian Study Club in her home on Thursday, November 13, 2008. Co- hostesses were Cherry Kay Lange, Ann Allison, Jeri Jones, Clione Rochat, and Vickie Stevenson. The club members were served “turtle pumpkin pie,” nuts, and coffee.

Patricia Warren called the meeting to order. Millie Burnham introduced the speaker, Dora Miller, who is co-chair of the Visionary and Preservation Committee for San Saba. Mrs. Miller stated that “procrastination is the plan for failure. The community needs to be setting goals, and working together for success. This project is a means for saving small towns.”

The group drew names from the Angel Tree and will bring gifts to the Courthouse or Sisters Country Store. The Dove Project gifts will be brought to the December 11th meeting. This meeting will be a guest event held in the Cherokee home of Jane Randolph at six o’clock in the evening.
