On November 9th, following four days of fast-paced competition, San Saba Nurse Practioner Karen Little was hailed as the overall winner of the 2008 Barrelnanza Finals.

Recognized as the world’s single richest barrel race, the 2008 Barrelnanza Finals marked the end of regular-season competition for World Barrel Racing Productions and awarded over $550,000 in cash and prizes to 1,900 competitors from across the United States. Ms. Little set the pace of the event, clocking a time of 15.120 seconds riding “Shezagoldendash.”

For her efforts, she claimed one of six brand new, custom wrapped 2008 Dodge Dually Crew Cab Trucks plus a customized Gist Buckle, compliments of WBR President Bobby “Booger” Barter.

Ms. Little has been a competitive barrel racer since she was four years old. Her parents both enjoyed rodeo sports and encouraged her throughout the years.
