No rain, but we did have some cloudy cool weather with the hint of rain. They are saying maybe a promise of rain Turkey day.

Most of the friends and relatives of Blake Gideon will be stuffed with turkey and glued to the television watching the A&M, UT game Thursday afternoon. For all the Texas Tech fans, how about the Oklahoma and Tech game? Never let it be said that UT is the only college ever mentioned in the Bend News.

The news is about as scarce as the rain. Guess everyone is busy getting ready for the big day and all of the guests that will have their feet under the dining room table come Thursday.

Next week there may be more news to report. Time will tell.

One day this past week Lola Morris and Sylvia Stinnett made a trip to Brownwood. Lola did come back with her first pair of running shoes and at last reports she was well pleased with them. She reported that they would come in handy while walking along the river.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Diane Gibson who will celebrate her birthday November 28, to Nathan Poor whose birthday is November 29.

Congratulations go out to Tim and Chee Chee Brockman who will celebrate an anniversary November 30.

The next news will be out the first week of December and 23 shopping days until Christmas. Christmas is breathing down our necks. November flew by on jet wings!
