Kenneth Crim, 72, of San Saba, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 at his residence in San Saba. Kenneth Wayne Crim was born on March 2, 1936, in San Saba, the son of Amos Earl Crim and Ida Litton Crim. On January 21, 1961, Kenneth Crim and Gaye Taylor were married at the Herren Baptist Church in San Saba. They had one son, Jeffery Wayne Crim. Kenneth graduated from San Saba High School in 1955 and joined the US Navy in 1957. Kenneth loved all sports, especially football, baseball and later on golf. He was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Gaye Crim of San Saba; brother, Edward Crim and his wife Betty of San Saba, two sister-in-laws, Bula May Crim and Faye Davis, both of San Saba; brother-in law, Joe Warlick of Cleburne; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Wayne Crim; father, Amos Earl Crim; mother, Ida Crim Harris,stepfather J.T. Harris and one brother, Willard Crim.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba with Rev. Josh Crutchfield officiating. Interment followed at the San Saba City Cemetery.
Pall Bearers for the service were Bob Crim, Shawn Davis, Larry Davis, Gregg Davis, Allen Creek, Ronnie Creek, Tommy Creek, Joe Warlick Jr., Arthur Crim and William Crim. Honorary Pall Bearers were the 1955 football team which included Gene William, Edward Ragsdale, Jimmy D. Gage, Jim Hamrick, Worth Wood, Rufus Cobern, Thomas Smithhart, Herald Johnson, and Scotty Oliver.
The family received friends Friday, November 21, 2008 6:30-8:00 P.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home.
The family requests that memorials be made to the San Saba City Cemetery Association Building Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral Services were under the direction of Howell-Doran Funeral Home.
