The Varsity Coyotes bi-district game on November 14th against a very good Strawn team ended the Coyotes post district play with a 83-72 loss. The grass should be greener at Hico because a lot of Coyote tears were shed. Congratulations to the football team and coaches on another good year. The Junior Varsity went undefeated for the season and our sights are on next year.

The Lady Coyotes basketball team is off to a good start and they are 2-0 on the season. The Junior High girls won Monday and the Junior High boys lost their first game to Veribest Junior High. The Junior High teams will play Rochelle next Monday at home beginning at 6:00 p.m. The Lady Coyotes played Lometa at Richland Springs this past Tuesday and will play at Brookesmith at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.

This Friday was the end of the second six-weeks grading period. It is hard to believe that 1/3 of the school year is gone. Come visit with your child’s teachers and get involved in your child’s education.

Gerald McKee announced that swine validation is at the county show barn from 8-10:00 a..m. this Saturday.

It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success. Thanks for all you do!
