Dear Editor,
I would personally like to thank Oscar Zepeda along with Daniel Zepeda and Kim Kirk for their organization of our Little Dribblers League.
Many people do not realize the time that Oscar puts in for the youth of San Saba. You can either see him coaching basketball, football or putting on a referee shirt to help where necessary.
Since I’ve been here in San Saba I’ve witnessed he and Daniel coaching several teams in the above mentioned sports devoting their time and I’m sure “patience”.
If you see these guys and “young” lady be sure to give them a shout of thanks because they ran a great basketball league.
Once again, thank you very much.
Tony Taylor,
San Saba
Dear Editor,
I would like to take this time to send out a BIG THANK YOU, to everyone that donated money during the fundraiser on the square at Peddler's Day Nov. 1, 2008. This fundraiser was a project of Today's Girl, and their fulfilling one of their requirements to participate in community service. Kay Lynn Scott is the guiding factor behind these wonderful "queens" and the service they contribute to our community. She helps instill in them the virtue of sharing and giving that allows them to develop into outgoing, lovely young ladies. These three queens manned the booth all day. The entertainment provided by the River Bend and Wild Flower Groups from Performance Talent was so amazing and outstanding. Thank you, Kay Lynn, for thinking of me for this service. To the wonderful citizens that came by the Today's Girl booth, contributed, and visited, what a joy to visit with so many of you! I am truly blessed.
To all my EMS "family" that had a fundraiser on my behalf -thank you-and for stepping in and filling my shifts while I am in Houston. I know the sacrifice that you are making on my behalf to step up and take that extra shift in my absence.
I want to take this means to thank my church family at Parkview Baptist, for their support, encouragement, and prayers. Love is binding.
The cards, calls and visits from my Eastern Star sisters and brothers and those I visited with Sat. on the Square makes me appreciate my true blessing of wonderful friends.
Last, but not least, all my love, appreciation and thanks to my family for taking care of me! Kerry, for tending to my route and business, Traci and Robert for driving me to Houston, and to Bob for staying in Houston with me all these weeks. I will be returning to M.D. Anderson Hospital for treatment every two weeks, but hopefully can keep the pace from home now.
God has truly blessed me in so many ways. I know each of you are meant to have a part in my life because God has caused our paths to cross. He shows me every day that He is in charge and all will be for His glory.
Thank each of you for your prayers and support,
Glenda Ragland
