Isaiah 55:6-9 "Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near let the wicked forsake his way, and the righteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the Earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts are higher than your thoughts.
All Christians have an emotional feeling of pride when we pray. We love to tell others we consistently pray, and we sincerely believe praying is beneficial to strengthen our mind and uplift our soul. But in these verses, the great prophet Isaiah implies that God is amazed at such thoughts about prayer. God knows that worship and intercession always go together, and either one is impossible without the other. Intercession will give us a mind to see the spiritual needs of others and start praying for them. But what happens when we become hardened by the affairs of our world until we begin praying less for others? We gradually lose our clear vision of God's purpose for prayer and its need for true worship. That will make us hard and dogmatic in our own opinions and trust our own ways which will always be inferior to God's ways. That will cause some to throw their petitions at God and try to dictate to Him what they want Him to do. That is not the way to worship God and will cause one to become hard towards God; which will also cause them to become hard towards their friends and loved ones. God knows the needs of those we love and will reveal it to us if we are living close to him. If you are wondering why this is being written?---Because I feel the greatest need our world has today is to, "Seek the Lord while He is near and can be found." The prophetic future for this earthly flesh is far more troubling than most are seeing. The greatly feared tribulation Jesus taught will surely come as He predicted, and it may be a lot nearer than many believe. The signs can be seen and the stage is being set. Are you concerned enough to be making intercession for those whom you know do not see? It would be folly to ask if our world is seeking God while He is near and can be found. Our wicked media and entertainment world gives a negative answer every time you turn a TV or news program on. Evil sin is multiplying every day. That may hasten God's judgment. He is the time keeper and when He decides it is time to punish, it will be too late to seek His help.
