The Rylander Library Friends Group gathered during their November quarterly meeting to remember and honor Chris Sears and her many deeds to benefit the library and our community. Sears had a deep love for gardening and making flower beds beautiful as noted in her work of the Patriot Garden and the First United Methodist Church’s flower beds. The marker was placed in her memory by a red bud tree close to the new fence project. Shown here with the marker is Carolyn McDowell, president of Rylander Friends.
