A good Homecoming crowd cheered the Varsity Coyotes to a 46-0 victory over the Veribest Falcons. The Varsity Coyotes are District 9 champions with a record of 10-0 on the year and a perfect 5-0 in district! The Varsity Coyotes bi-district game will be this Friday, November 14th at 7:30 p.m. at Hico against a very good Strawn team. The Jr. High Coyotes won against Veribest last Thursday. The Junior High Coyotes are now 7-1 on the year! The Junior High was district runner-up to Robert Lee Junior High. The Junior Varsity went undefeated for the season!
The Mighty Coyote Band performed at halftime ceremonies for Homecoming. Senior class members were introduced to the crowd in pregame ceremonies. Kensie Green was selected as the Homecoming Queen. Wayne and Gladys Powell were selected as Coming Home King and Queen. Band Sweetheart is Miss Brooke Bennett, Football Sweetheart is Lindsey Roberds and Football Beau is Nigel Bates. Come out and support the band, cheerleaders, and the student athletes at the bi-district contest at Hico this Friday; you won’t be disappointed!
Girl’s Varsity basketball scheduled their third scrimmages of the year this past Saturday. The Varsity girls outscored the San Saba JV girls 59-10. The Lady Coyotes kick off their season in earnest this Tuesday with a game at Cransfils Gap.
The Lady Coyotes will play Gustine at Coyote gym on Saturday, Nov. 15th at 6:00 p.m.
The Chili/Bingo and Fall festival were a success this past Saturday. A good time was had by all.
If you’ve visited campus after dark, you’ve noticed the new and improved campus lighting. The extra lighting will make our campus brighter and safer after dark.
This Friday is the end of the second six-weeks grading period. Come visit with your child’s teachers and get involved in your child’s education.
It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success. Thanks for all you do!
