Jack R. Turner joined wife Wanda in the heavenly kingdom. He faced his bout with cancer as he did all things in his life and that was head on with a positive attitude. Unfortunately on November 7, 2008 he lost the battle with cancer.

Jack worked at University of Texas Automotive Department as Supervisor before his retirement. During retirement he enjoyed ranching which he did growing up in Cedar Creek, Texas. He loved the rural life and values the lifestyle taught those who lived and understood it. He taught these values to his family and to his friends.

Jack was a member of Brentwood Church of Christ. He and his wife, Wanda, who preceded him to the heavenly kingdom, were active church members and found great rewards in life from being a member of Brentwood Church of Christ.

Jack is survived by one sister Laura Zglinski; son Scott Turner and wife Margie; daughter Elaine; four grandchildren and two great-grand children. Please make donations to American Cancer Society instead of flowers.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas. Graveside services were celebrated on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at Cedar Creek Upper Cemetery in Cedar Creek, Texas.
