Arlena Eckert Foster, 90, of Gunter, Texas passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Hilltop Haven, in Gunter. Arlena was born October 16, 1918 in San Saba County, the daughter of Walter Eckert and Jane Nolan Eckert. She graduated from Richland Springs High School in 1936.

Arlena is survived by two grandsons, Mark Linn and his wife Louise, of Adelaide, SA. Australia and Chris Linn and his wife Tammy of Southmayd. Two Great- grandchildren: Austin and Ashley Linn of Southmayd; one daughter-in-law, Linda Linn of Sweetwater; and one niece, Betty O’Sullivan of Baytown.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Jerry Loftin Linn, and brother Walter Myrl Eckert.

Graveside services were held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Richland Springs Cemetery with Rev. George McHorse officiating.

Family received friends, Friday, November 7, 2008, 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home.
