It was good to see Jamie and Cindy Gray in Cherokee last week end. Some of their family and frends were here also, some of them went camping and hunting out on the Gray ranch.

A group from the McArthur Church of Christ came to services in Cherokee Sunday at the Church of Christ and spent some time with the children at Cherokee Home for Children.

Robert Baugh spent last week end hunting in San Angelo.

Danny Duggan and Larry Windham went to Sweetwater to visit with Xazier Monron. Xazier is attending TSTC there.

Keri Davis, Lupe Trinidad, Michael Crawford and Kayla and Carissa Davis went to Lubbock to attend senior day at Lubbock Christian University. I am sure they spent time with Anhelica while there.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Cherokee Cemetery for Bonnie Johanson. We extend our sympathy to the Johanson family.

Joel, Betty, Garrett, and Erin Ratliff recently returned from a week long hunting trip in the Lincoln National Forest southeast of Cloudcroft, New Mexico. They were joined by Joel’s parents, Bobby and Pat Ratliff of Llano. Joel and Bobby were drawn in the New Mexico rifle mule deer hunt which began the week of Oct. 25th. Joel killed a very nice eight point buck the first morning out.

There was a community meeting Saturday night concerning the Christmas decorations for Cherokee. If you would like to help in anyway, please contact Sue Broyles.
