While there they enjoyed seeing a play, going to Central Park, riding the ferry to the Statue of Liberty, visited ground zero and walked across the Brooklyn bridge. They ate at a restaurant that a friend of theirs had helped to design, the same friend who is a chef and baked their wedding cake. The friend had another event and couldn’t be with Donnie and Rachel, but did make the reservation for them at the restaurant. It was an exciting time for both of them.
Mebbie also reported the birth of a great-niece. Her sister Debbie January’s son Joel and his wife Denise of Katy gave birth to a baby girl the 18 of October, her name is Abigail Leigh January, she weighed in at 7 pounds and 14 ounces.
Jolene Lively is the great-grandmother.
