Family celebrates dedication of memorial markers on graves

The family of Evelyn Lucille Wheeler Christian gathered for a Chapter Memorial Service in honor of her being a direct descendant of a citizen of the Republic of Texas.

The Daughters of the Republic, San Saba River Chapter, conducted the ceremony at the Richland Springs Cemetery on Saturday, October 25, 2008.

Gathered at her mother’s grave is Evelyn Horseman, her son, Doyle Christian; her grandson, Rick Bull; and great-grandson, James Bull.

The ceremony included a tribute to the memory of Evelyn Lucille Wheeler Christian, and laying flowers on her grave.
