Candy Romero, 20, of San Saba, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in Temple, Texas. She was born June 11, 1988 in San Saba, Texas the daughter of Juan Romero and Theresa Cooley Romero.

Candy attended San Saba ISD, was a four-year member of the FCCLA and a member of the graduating class of 2006. She was employed by the Eventide Nursing Home and Our Place Café.

She is survived by her parents, Juan and Theresa Romero and two brothers, Joseph and John Romero all of San Saba. Special friend Floyd “Pa Pa” Huffman. Aunts: Shirley Berkley, Crystal Cooley, Gloria Romero, and Amparo Romero. Uncles: Pablo Romero, Jose Romero, Jimmy Cooley, Billy Cooley, Travis Cooley, Tommy Cooley and Añgel Romero. Niece: Justice Gonzales. Cousins: Daniel Romero, Antonio Romero, William Cooley, Virginia Cooley, Taylor Berkley, Nichols Berkley, Marchele Cooley, Billy Berkley, James Berkley, Shannon Berkley, Shania Cooley, Scotty Lovinggood, Tina Patton, and Courtney West, and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services were held Friday, October 24, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home with Deacon Richard Menchaca officiating. Interment followed at the Harmony Ridge Cemetery in San Saba County.

The family requests that memorials be made to the donors favorite charity.
