On a very pretty day on the Goldthwaite Golf Course, a competitive cross country meet took place. Medal winners for San Saba were 1st Alexa Maxcey; 2nd Danessa Vasquez; 4th Rebecca Parades; 7th Pedro Prado.

Ballinger was the power in varsity girls as they came in 1-3-5 with Vasquez and Paredes filling in the open spors. Maxcey ran her first agressive race, taking the lead early in the race, and winning having to hold off a girl from Tolar.

San Saba will be running the district meet in Coleman next Monday, October 27, 2008. High School starts at 10:00 a.m., while the Junior High starts at 4:00 p.m.
