A good crowd cheered the varsity Coyotes to a 56-6 victory over the Robert Lee Steers in the second game of district play. The Varsity Coyotes are now 7-0 on the year and 2-0 in district! The varsity Coyotes play Rochelle at Rochelle at 7:30p.m. on Friday, October 24th. The Jr. High Coyotes lost to Robert Lee last Thursday by a score of 39-25. The junior high Coyotes are now 4-1 on the year! The junior high plays Rochelle at 6:00p.m. this Thursday at Coyote field. The junior varsity beat Water Valley by a score of 47-0 last week. The junior varsity is undefeated for the season! The junior varsity does not have a game scheduled this week. The Mighty Coyote Band under the direction of Dwayne Bishop is sounding better each week. The band is working hard for Mr. Bishop and the results are astounding. Come out and support the band, cheerleaders, and the student athletes at the games, you won’t be disappointed!

In honor of the 4-H’s 101st anniversary, the Richland Springs’ 4-H will be collecting 101 cans of food for the San Saba County Food Pantry. All food items can be brought to the library.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The TEEN TASK FORCE FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE had a bake sale and students participated in ‘HATS ON DAY’. Through these two fundraisers the faculty and students of Richland Springs ISD donated $330 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.

It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success. Thanks for all you do!
