The Class of 1950 got together for the second time this year during Homecoming weekend, and what a great time we had! We all got together at Ma & Pa's Diner for a casual Dutch Treat lunch from Larry Daniels' fine menu. There was food and fellowship and everyone talked about old times, "remember whens," and just digging up old memories.

Hooker Reavis brought part of the San Saba News and Star. It was the "Down Memory Lane" section which mentioned that one of our classmates, Eddie Edwards, had appeared with Tommy Sands and the Raiders on the Perry Como Show in New York City, 50 years ago! It was another hint of just how old we were getting!

After our lunch, everyone went to our local historical museum at Mill Pond Park and toured the facility, which was very interesting. Pictures and write-ups about some of our old heroes, such as Dean Bagley, T.J. Stewart, "Tid" Watkins, Miss Helen Lidstone, and others too numerous to mention. It was very enjoyable and brought back a lot of memories.

Those attending our impromptu reunion were: Robert and Sue Broyles, Jack and Vondene Wilder, Wendell and Bessie Till, Cloyd Edmondson, Rayford and Helen Brister, Emerson and Gladys Brister, Eddie and Rae Edwards, Hooker and LoEtta Reavis, Bob and Betty Inman, Rita Virginia Jenkins, Elvis Joe (Tut) Ballew, and Valerea (Sadie) Hibler Coleman.

As farewells were being shared, the Class of 1950 vowed to see each other again next June.
