The first cross-country meet of the year was Saturday, August 30, 2008 in Llano. What turned out to be a very humid, warm day plus a very soft hilly course turned into a very good test for the runners.

This was the first year the meet was combined into one class from 5A to A. This made the competition a little tougher than normal.

Medal winners for San Saba were Alexa Maxcey and Candace Saldivar.

The next meet will be in San Saba at Mill Pond Park on September 13, 2008. The park will be closed that morning with the only entrance being the back gate on Mound Street. The track complex will be shut down at 6:00 p.m. on Friday the 12th. Come out Saturday morning and watch our young people run.
