The City Council of the City of San Saba met on Tuesday, August 26th, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

The purpose of the meeting was to receive public input on the proposed 2008-2009 FY Budget and proposed property tax rate. There was no one in attendance for public input, so the Council went immediately to a Called Open Meeting. There was discussion/action on the following:

1. San Saba County Judge Byron Theodosis was in attendance to ask the council to reconsider the need for the City to pay and provide for two dispatchers for the County Sheriff’s Department. A list of the calls for the month of July was distributed for information, After discussion there was a unanimous vote to amend last meetings motion and the City will adjust budget $57,000 to pay for two dispatchers.

2. There was a unanimous vote to approve Ordinance No. 2008-22 amending Ordinance No. 2008-01 in its entirety, updating the office of City Administrator/City Manager.

3. Approved Ordinance No. 2008-23 renaming old Concho Public Road (Brady Highway) to West Brown Street and dedicating it as a public roadway.

4. Approved Resolution No. 2008-22 designating the signators authorized to sign on the accounts with City National Bank.

The meeting was adjourned by Mayor Ken Jordan.
