In conjunction with the Pecan Capital Trade Days in nearby San Saba, Alamosa Wine Cellars of Bend will hold a grape stomp at the winery on September 6th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visitors are invited to tour the winery and get into the harvest spirit by experiencing the old world way of crushing grapes - the grape stomp. Stompers will foot tread the grapes in a half-barrel and get the feel of squishy grapes between their toes. Stomping is free but you can purchase an Alamosa Grape Stomping Team t-shirt and put your "grapey" footprints on it for a souvenir.

With four vineyards and two wineries and one more in the planning stages, San Saba County is quickly becoming a wine destination for visitors from across the state.
