Judy Carney Grumbles, 64, of San Saba, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. She was born July 24, 1944, in Baytown, Texas, the daughter of William Carney and Lura Shanks Carney.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Grumbles, of San Saba; two brothers: Terry Jack Scarborough and his wife, Pat, of Humble, Texas; and Tracey Scarborough and his wife, Lana, of Tom Ball, Texas; one sister, Kay Bayard, of Baytown, Texas; one aunt, Babe Weaver, of Baytown, Texas; and several nieces and nephews, which include Gail Sloan of San Saba.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Janet Goode.

Graveside services were held Monday, August 18, 2008 at the Adams Cemetery in San Saba County, with Rev. Sam Crosby officiating. Family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba, TX.
