This past week, Parkview Baptist Church hosted a Vacation Bible School. The church took the kids on an adventure to “Outrigger Island.” The kids had the opportunity to learn truths about the Bible, such as “God is real,” “The Bible is God’s Word” and “Jesus is the only way” by studying different individuals throughout the Bible. They also learned native songs like “Wiki Wiki” which taught them the ABC’s of becoming a Christian. The kids were able to participate in some of the native sports like “Lava Rock Challenge.” Each day they made a new craft that gave them hands on learning experience. Some of the crafts were “Aloha apparel,” “Surfboard sound machine,” “Truth key ring” and a “Gecko Bible verse holder.” Another exciting adventure for the kids was being able to create their own island snacks like, “Coastal cupcakes,” “Flip Flop cookies” and “Hibicuits.”

The VBS had a total of 41 kids enroll and an average of 25 workers. Parkview would like to thank the parents for allowing us to have the privilege of teaching and getting to know your children. Parkview would like to also thank all of the workers who were involved and gave up their time to reach out to our community.
