Maria P. Torres, 51, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 at her residence in San Saba. She was born October 17, 1956, in Leveland, Texas, the daughter of Robert Torres and Manuelita Rodriquez Torres. She was a certified nurses assistant with the nursing home.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Manuelita Torres of San Saba; two sons: Juan Manuel Salazar and his wife, Ruby, of Brady; and Adam Francisco Salazar of Angleton, Texas; one daughter: Anna Marie Salazar of San Saba; seven grandchildren: Jesus Gabriel Salazar, Kamara Marie Sanders, Lil’ Robert Salazar, Gary Lamont Cleveland Jr., Nevaeh Alize Cleveland, Daisy Salazar, and Heaven Salazar; four brothers: Ray Torres and his wife, Angie, of San Saba; Robert Torres of San Saba; Steve Torres of San Saba; and Tommy Torres and wife, Frances, of Brady; one sister, Diana Palacio and her husband, Pete, of San Angelo; and several nieces and nephews.Maria was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Torres and Norma Torres.

Family will be receiving friends Wednesday, August 13, 2008, 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home, with Richard Menchaca officiating. Interment will follow at the San Saba City Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the San Saba City Cemetery Building Fund.
