Texas AgriLife Extension Service is proud to announce the results of the Texas State Pecan Show held on Sunday, July 13th, at the Marriott Waterway at The Woodlands, Texas. San Saba County had a total of 13 entries that qualified for the State competition.

Five of San Saba County's entries placed in the competition. They are as follows:

Texcan Pecan Company – 1st Place – Navaho

Olan Tisdale – 1st Place – Hopi

Kathy Edmondson – 3rd Place – Lightest Native

Dwight Harkey – 3rd Place – Maramec

Texcan Pecan Company – 3rd Place – Variety Seedling
