The San Saba Garden Club’s "Yard of the Month" for August is located at 108 North 9th Street, the home of Jack and Sandra Vaughn. Jack and Sandra estimate their house to be around 100-years-old.

They have resided at this residence for 23 years. In that time, Jack and Sandra bought the house and property next to them. This gave them a lot of room for their many plants!

There are ferns, hanging baskets, iris, potted geraniums, caladiums, and antique roses. Jack and Sandra have named a special pink rose - the Jacquelyn Rose - after their daughter.

Sandra has a child care center where the 12 children enjoy playing in the huge yard and watching all of the flowers grow.

Jack and Sandra celebrate the different seasons by decorating their house and yard to fit the special themes.
