Dear Editor,We, at Guardian Healthcare, would like to thank everyone who took part in our fundraiser this Christmas for Linda Mixon. It was a HUGE success! We had over 30 items donated for the raffle, including a cedar rocking chair donated by Myers Moulding in Lampasas. We also had lots of cash donations and baked goods. I am so thankful to work in a community that is so generous and caring, and for Guardian Healthcare, who is so giving! When we started asking for donations, some people knew Linda, and some did not. However, it did not seem to matter. Almost everyone we spoke to gave without blinking an eye! I even had people from out of town donate! How awesome is that?We would like to thank all who donated. I won’t list everyone individually, because I’m afraid I might leave someone out. However, you know who you are. Please know from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!Linda was so sweet to join us on the square the night of the parade. It was very cold, but we all bundled up. She was so humble and so grateful to receive these donations. We can’t think of a better person to give it to. Thank you Linda for all you do! I know this money will be used as a blessing to you and your family. Through your help, we were able to collect right at $1800.00. Our corporate office in McKinney donated $1000.00, so all together we raised around $2800.00! Wow! How awesome is that? Linda has an account set up at Arrow Head Bank in her name. It is not too late to make a contribution. It will remain open for anyone who is interested. San Saba is a great community, and I am honored to have been a part of it. Guardian Healthcare is so generous to let us be a part of something so incredibly life changing! Again, thank you all! We look forward to seeing what great things we can do next year!
