A series of six vehicles and three businesses were broken into over the last 45 days or so in the City of San Saba. Two of the vehicle burglaries were cleared by the Sheriff's office and the evidence turned over to the police department for further investigation but the others have unknown dispositions at this time. Sheriff Brown stated that numerous calls of prowling and general disorderly calls have increased in the city over the past three to four months and decisive action will be taken. Sheriff Brown also stated that since January 1st alone, there have been 12 prowler calls, 9 possible burglaries, and 20 disturbance calls in the city of San Saba alone. Brown stated that the public needs to be aware of this and needs to take additional precautions. Make sure that you remove your valuables like purses, phones, guns and other items from your vehicle and don't leave things lying out where people can see them. Lock the doors on your vehicles and lock up your valuables in your sheds and inside your homes and businesses. Sheriff Brown also stated that it is important that you call in anything that looks suspicious especially late at night so that law enforcement can respond to that area as quickly as possible and identify anyone in that area.
