Maurine Johnson (left) and Carolyn Perry (right) exhibit the king size quilt, handmade for the benefit drawing for Cherokee V.F.D. A fish fry and drawing will be held at 6 p.m. on September, 11, 2010 at the firehall in downtown Cherokee. Tickets can be purchased at Arrowhead Bank or Sue's Grocery in Cherokee as well as during the event. The quilt was made in the Daisy Doodle pattern by Sue Broyles, Clara Thompson, Candace Henderson, Geneva Brawn, Maurine Johnson, Carolyn Perry and Kay Savage.
