Steven Aubrey Spears of San Saba passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010. Steven was born October 10, 1955, the son of Audrey A. Spears and Hallie Lindsey Spears.

Steven was a CASA casework supervisor. He was a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, the First Baptist Church of San Saba, and the child welfare board. On May 25, 2002 Marisela Romero and Steven were united in marriage in San Saba.

Steven is survived by his wife,Marisela Romero Spears of San Saba; one son, Conner Reece Christian of San Saba; four daughters, Jessica Spears Rister and her husband Justin of Abilene; Amber Annette Spears and her fiance Dallas Shaw of Keene; Brittnie Lee of Cleburne; and Allison Nicole Christian of San Saba; one grandchild, Raelee Jolene Rister; one brother, Bobby Gale Spears and his wife Barbara of Katy, Tx.; two sisters, Sharon S. Appleton and her husband A. R. of Porter; and Judy McLennan of Deer Park; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Steven Aubrey Spears were held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of San Saba with Rev. Sam Crosby, officiating. Interment followed in the San Saba Cemetery.

There was a visitation on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Heath Romero Scholarship Fund at Arrowhead Bank.
