MABEL "PATTI" KIRKPATRICK ALLISON, 100, passed away in Thousand Oaks, CA on August 9, 2010. She was born on January 3, 1910 in San Saba, TX to Ira D. Kirkpatrick and Bernice M. Asher. As a young girl, she lived with her family in several states before settling in Southern California in the 1920’s. She married Howard C. Wilson in 1929 and was widowed in 1975. She met and married Alexander E. Allison, also a widower, in 1989 and she was again widowed in 2008.

She is survived by her son, Richard D. Wilson and his life companion Doree L. Lussier of Houston, TX; her daughter, Gayle K. Treat and her husband L. B. "Bud" Treat of Cumming, GA; four grand children, Mary Kay Wilson of North Hollywood, CA; John F. Wilson of Alvin, TX; Kathleen Cooper of Cumming, GA; Michael R. Heizer of Ada, OK; and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous members of her second family, the Allisons, of whom she was so very fond and who welcomed her so warmly into their family.

She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Gregory W. Heizer and Jeffrey H. Wilson.

Patti was an accomplished artist and flower arranger; a participant in a number of charitable activities; a lover of traveling and fine dining; an avid social bridge player; and an ardent fan of spectator sports, in particular Los Angeles Lakers basketball. She was always stylish, immaculately groomed, and elegantly dressed. She embraced life with an optimistic attitude and outlook. In recent years she was particularly proud that most people underestimated her age and she took great pleasure in informing them of her actual years.

She had looked forward to the event throughout the year and when the day finally arrived she was absolutely delighted with the celebration.
