Alice Louise Freeman, 72, of Kempner passed away July 30, 2010 in Temple, Texas. She was born April 3, 1938 to Albert and Nellie Belle (White) Greenwood in Abilene, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Evelyn and Wilma.

Alice took great pride as a homemaker raising a loving family. She also was a member of the United States Air Force for three years.

She is survived by her husband, William L. Freeman, Jr.; daughters, Audrey Louise McCarthy and her husband David of Kempner, TX; Phyllis Lynn Shearrow and her husband Kenneth of Kempner, TX; Dorinda Lizette Clark of Waxahachie, TX; son, Jon Leslie Freeman of Kempner, TX; sister, Alberta Zurmely of Chapman, Kansas; brother, Charles Greenwood of Springfield, Missouri. Alice was also the proud grandmother of five as well as great-grandmother to three. She is also survived by her extended Eshom family.

For those who desire, memorial contributions may be directed to either the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

The family held private memorial services on Monday, August 2, 2010 in Lampasas, Texas where they celebrated the life of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
