Winnie Stewart Russell, 88, of San Saba, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Eventide Nursing Home. She was born May 19, 1921, in San Saba County, Texas, the daughter of Robert Tinney and Martha Ketchum Tinney. She married John Stewart in San Saba, Texas, on October 22, 1938. John preceded her in death on January 19, 1981. She married Sherman Russell in San Saba, Texas, on December 24, 1985. Sherman preceded her in death on April 21, 1996.

She is survived by two grandsons, Mark Stewart and Steven Stewart; and her nieces and nephews, Brenda Dawson, Wayne Gatliff, Gary Gatliff, Johnnie Perkins, and Shirley Meischen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, one son, Les Stewart; two sisters, and five brothers.

Services were held Thursday, March 4, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel in San Saba with Rev. Josh Campbell officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery in San Saba County.
