The San Saba Armadillo Baseball team kicked off the season last week with a snow out and 2 wins and 2 losses.The scheduled home opener for both the Varsity and the Jv vs. Hico was snowed out.

The Varsity participated in the Blanco Tournament with 3 games on Friday and 1 on Saturday.

On Friday the Dillos lost to Florence 8-2,beat Llano JV 6-5, and lost to Blanco 10-2. On Saturday the Dillos beat Fredericksburg JV 7-5. It was good for us to finally get outside and play, we did a lot to work on. Luke Cox,and Ryan Pannell were named all tournament.

This week we play at Johnson City on Monday March 1st. the JV at 4:30 followed with the Varsity at 7:00. Thursday, March 4th through Saturday, March 6th we play in the Hamilton Tournament. Our 1st game will be on Thursday vs. Hamilton at 1:00.

The JV includes Deigo Lara, Jarrett Mathis, Sean Argote, Russell Lowe, Ryan Guidroz, JT Holland, BJ Harbour, Michael McKinnerney,Tanner Hawkins, Wil Sloan and Michael Zimmer.

I would like to mention that all of our spring sports teams will be doing a collective fund raiser, selling the Dillo Mugs.
