Kathryn Long, 87, of San Saba, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010, at Eventide Nursing Home. She was born July 2, 1922, in San Saba County, Texas, the daughter of Martin Harkey and Lillie Maggie Isham Harkey. She married Thomas O. Long, Jr. in Lampasas, Texas, on April 29, 1940.

She is survived by one son, John Long of San Saba; one daughter, Mary Behrens and her husband David of San Saba; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Martin Long, one brother, and two sisters.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Chappel Cemetery, in San Saba County, Texas, with Rev. Fred Baker, officiating. Interment to follow at Chappel Cemetery.

The family received friends on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Howell Doran Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Chappel Cemetery Association.
