Live Oak Texas Extension Education Club met on January 18th at Live Oak Club House. Dorothy Gage led members in Prayer of Club Women of America. President, Connie Ballinger, presided with each member answering roll with their favorite 4-H Memory. Some memories included raising show animals and getting so attached to them that they didn't want to sell them. Members present were Connie Ballinger, Faye Currie, Dorothy Gage, Bertha Griffay, Amanda Jackson, and Betty Wilson. Guest speaker, Mary Jane Dennis, presented a very interesting and informative program on preserving our natural resources. Some information most of us already know; just needed reminded to recycle and to save electricity and water. Ideas for membership drive were discussed and each member present was encouraged to bring a prospect to the next meeting.
