Helon Mayer and Sybil Preciado both won the Costume Contest.

Eventide Nursing Home had their Halloween celebration last week. It started with the 5th and 6th grade SPOOK parade in the morning. The costumes get more detailed and elaborate every year, and the residents loved them all!

As the children paraded through the home, they were each given a goodie bag from the residents.

We had "SPIRIT" week as well to get into the Halloween mode. Crazy Hair Day, Mix-Match Day, Cap/Hat Day, Orange/Black Day, and Costume Day.

In addition to all of that, we had our Annual Halloween Door Decorating Contest. The winners this year were:

1st Place- Liz Fajardo with her NIGHTMARE at Eventide.

2nd Place- Kali Lord with her SPOOKY Halloween.

3rd Place- Martha Chavarria with her Life-Size Spider Web.

Honorable Mention- went to Sybil Preciado, and Tina Jimenez for their WICKED WITCH.

With several of the residents dressed in their Halloween attire, we had a party in the afternoon with refreshments, and there the Costume Contest winners were also announced. The winners were Helon Mayer, dressed as a French Maid and Sybil Preciado dressed as a Little Indian with her Caboose.

We are so thankful for all the businesses and individuals that donated prizes and made our contests possible.
