One night a guest bumped into a maid who was serving dinner, and threw coffee against the white wall.

Immediately an ugly stain began to spread all over the wall.

The guest was embarrassed. He apologized. But Sir Edwin Landseer, a famous painter, jumped to his feet and said, "Don't worry."

Taking a pen from his pocket, he began to sketch around that awful stain. Soon there emerged a picture of a magnificent royal stag.
