The San Saba County Commissioners Court met at 1:30 p.m. on October 26th in the County Judge’s Chambers. Judge Byron Theodosis called the meeting to order. Commissioner Rickey Lusty gave the invocation followed by everyone joining for the pledges to the American and Texas flags.

Two citizens, George Amthor, III and Mark Amthor were in attendance regarding the courthouse restoration.

Action was taken on the following items:

A. Approved conservation contract for precinct 2.

B. Discussed the Commercial Property Coverage Part Supplemental Declarations through Baskin Ins. Agency.

C. Approved the appointment of Maria Guerrero to the Child Welfare Board, replacing Mary Ann Perry.

D. A Local Data Advisory Board was approved. Serving on The Board will be Gary Bunyard, Asst. District Attorney; Lonnie A. Brown, County Sheriff; Byron Theodosis, County Judge; Kim Wells, County Clerk; Ray Riggs, City Chief Police and Tim Inman, County Attorney.

E. Approved the RAMP (Routine Airport Maintenance Program) grant reimbursement.

F. Approved the accounts payables.

Three items on the agenda were tabled. One new employee was reported by Gayla Hawkins, County Treasurer. Todd Milster is a new deputy sheriff.

The next Commissioners Court will be Monday, November 9th at 9 a.m. The Burn Ban will remain lifted as of September 14, 2009.

After discussion regarding the restoration of the courthouse, the commissioners unanimously approved to accept the Texas Historical Commission Planning Grant and establish the local financial match for the San Saba County Courthouse Restoration and matching funds obligation.

At 3:15 p.m. the County Commmissioners went into Executive Session and returned at 3:30 p.m. to continue the Commissioners Court. Information regarding a Budget Amendment concerning a personnel issue was discussed.

Judge Theodosis adjourned the meeting. Those in attendance were: County Judge Byron Theodosis, County Clerk Kim Wells, County Treasurer Gayla Hawkins, Administrative Assistant Cathi Miles, County Emergency Coordinator Marsha Hardy, and Commissioners Roger McGehee, Kenley Kroll, Rickey Lusty and Otis Judkins; and Chief Deputy Bill Price.
